CNC Machinist – Mills
Overview/Position:
As CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a Okuma CNC Mills; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. You will use appropriate tools and measuring equipment to make parts to engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plans machining process by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications.
- Program CNC lathes by utilizing G-code and MasterCAM.
- Daily set-ups and operating mills, verifies first-run parts and monitors dimensions, and operations over the job run.
- Suggests and implements creative solutions for fixtures, jigs, and tooling for efficient machining operations.
- Inspects finished parts with various measuring tools and completes inspection report.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Good housekeeping and work area cleanliness.
- Assume duties as assigned.
Skilled Labourer
Overview/Position:
The Skilled Labourer is responsible for general shop, sandblasting, painting, and assembly duties within the Production department.
Responsibilities:
- General shop labour duties.
- Sandblasting and cleaning parts.
- Prepping and painting parts requiring respirator fit testing.
- Assembling, hydrotesting, and calibrating control valves and related products.
- Assume other duties as required
